Job summary
Electronics Product Engineer is responsible for new product introduction (NPI). Manages information flow between designer (client) and electronics manufacturing team. Performs PCBA concept and design manufacturability analysis, provides assembly process methods & calculations. Creates necessary product specific assembly documentation i.e. digital drawings, work instructions. Schedules and coordinates initial product assemblies until approval for mass production, documents design and process related findings and reports them back to involved teams. Analyzes active product related issues and implements process improvements.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Introduction and implementation of new electronics surface mount products in cooperation with project and manufacturing teams (NPI)
- Coordination and information exchange between the project team and the Tallinn production unit
- Scheduling and coordination of prototypes and builds
- Work on problems encountered by prototyping and feedback to project team and suppliers
- Analysis of problems encountered by prototyping and feedback to project team and suppliers
- Analysis and improvement of technical & quality problems during implementation of PCBAs and serial production
- Preparing and updating of work instructions and process documentation
- Participating in the development, instructing and continuous improvement of production methods
Qualifications
- Abilities to solve technical issues
- English language skill (incl. technical, both speaking/writing), communication skills in Russian
- Can work both independently and in a team
- Committed, responsible and punctual in daily operations
- Technical higher or vocational education
- Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Previous work experience in manufacturing or as electronics engineer/technician
- Experience with CAD/CAM programs
- Experience in handling Gerber files
- Knowledge of IPC standards
