The Reconciliation Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. You will be responsible for regular reconciliations of customer accounts, digital wallets, and payment service provider reports. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, capable of managing complex financial data and improving operational efficiency.
Your daily tasks will be- Performing regular reconciliations across customer accounts, digital wallets, and payment service provider reports.
- Investigating any inconsistencies or discrepancies found during the reconciliation process and take appropriate actions to resolve them.
- Collaborating closely with the Fraud & Payments team to ensure the accurate processing of customer payments.
- Working closely with the accounting and finance departments to communicate findings and adjust financial records. Assisting in improving internal controls related to reconciliation to prevent future discrepancies.
- Performing month-end close activities to ensure accurate financial reporting, including adding journal entries to the accounting tool.
- Maintaining communication with external payment providers and reconciliation tool vendors to ensure seamless and accurate reconciliation processes.
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or an equivalent degree (could be in process of acquiring);
- Basic knowledge of accounting procedures and principles;
- Experience with Microsoft Excel;
- Excellent level of verbal and written English;
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure;
- Ability to adapt quickly and to learn new systems, ensuring efficient integration into workflows;
- Previous experience in a reconciliation role or a similar financial position is an advantage;
- Familiarity with accounting software and digital payment platforms is an advantage.
