Requirements for the Candidate

We are seeking a diligent and proactive Compliance Officer to join our Plus500EE team. Requirements for the Candidate:

Education: Bachelors degree in law, economics or in a related field (preferred).

Good to have:

Prior experience working in compliance or with financial regulations, with comfort in working with data;
Knowledge of MiFID II is a bonus.

Language skills: fluent in Estonian and English; additional proficiencies are an advantage.

Soft skills:

strong verbal and written communication skills;
analytical, critical and logical thinking abilities;
solution and result-oriented with willingness to take responsibility.

Job Description

Support to the Head of AML

Assist the Head of AML with day-to-day tasks and responsibilities.
Validate, assess, and handle cases identified through the Company's monitoring activities.
Review and process internal escalations and suspicious activity reports (SARs).
Perform quality assurance checks on first line of defense controls.
Conduct regulatory watch, legal research, and analysis to support ongoing compliance with existing and upcoming laws and regulations.
Support regular and ad hoc AML reviews and monitoring exercises.
Report monitoring findings and make recommendations for corrective actions to the Head of AML.

Support to the Head of Compliance

Perform compliance monitoring and review activities within the investment services area.
Assist with the preparation and submission of internal and regulatory reports.
Conduct quality assurance by evaluating and refining operational processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
Support the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of compliance policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with current regulatory expectations.
Participate in ad hoc reviews and support other compliance-related initiatives as needed.
